      Course Overview

      Develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide and empower your enterprise to succeed in a disruptive marketplace when you become a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).

      During this two-day course, you will gain the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), and its underlying principles derived from Lean, systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps. We will discuss the five competencies needed to become a Lean Enterprise. You will also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events, and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

      You will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset, why it’s so effective in today’s adapt-or-die marketplace, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation. You will also learn how to build and support Agile teams and programs, empower a Lean Portfolio, build a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinate large solutions. You will develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide—and empower your enterprise to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when you will become a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).

      Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).

      The class is based on SAFe® 4.6 version and will run in Romanian.

      FAQs

      1Is the course confirmed?
      The course needs 10 attendees as a minimum to be able to be confirmed. If it has not reached the minimum number 10 days prior the course date, the attendees will be informed about.
      2What do I get with my enrollment?
      Enrollment in our public courses includes the following: refreshments and lunch served both days, printed course workbook and other materials, course certificate of completion, preparation and eligibility to take the SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA) exam (exam fees included), post training support, 10% discount on any other course. In addition, the course include one-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform.
      3What is the dress code for the class?
      Our class do not have a required dress code. However, most participants opt for casual or business casual attire. Our cours include a variety of activities which require that you stand, walk and move about repeatedly, so it is important that you wear something that will be comfortable to move about in.
      4What do I need to bring to class?
      Just yourself and your desire to learn! We will provide everything else you need.
      5Do I need to bring a laptop to class?
      No, you do not need a laptop for the class. In fact, we prefer that students keep their laptops and smartphones tucked away during class as they can often hinder the level of engagement that the class requires.
      6When does the class begin and end each day?
      Our class run from 9am-6pm each day.
      7Will there be breaks during class?
      Yes, breaks will occur regularly during class. Although the break times may vary slightly from class to class in order to accommodate questions, discussion or activity, the breaks typically occur around the following times: morning break from 10:15-10:30am, lunch from noon-1pm, afternoon break from 2:30-2:45pm.
      8What is the agenda for the class?
      We maintain a flexible agenda during class so that we can adapt to the skill and experience level of each group and address the unique questions and situations that arise in each course. However, for a list of topics that will be covered in your particular class, please take a look here.
      9Will lunch be served during class?
      Yes. During class, you can expect refreshments, lunch and afternoon snacks to be served each day.
      10What if I can only attend part of the class?
      Due to the interactive nature of our class, missing large portions not only impacts your own learning, but that of your teammates as well. For this reason, we strongly recommend that students make arrangements so they can attend class in its entirety. Also, missing a large portion of class will result in an our inability to approve your eligibility for certification or badging.
      11Will this course run?
      When you register for this class, we take your commitment seriously and will do everything we can to ensure your class will run. Although we do reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to unforeseen events (such as illness, family emergency or inclement travel weather), it is extremely rare that we do so. In the event that we do find it necessary to cancel or reschedule your class, you will be given the option of rescheduling your attendance to a future class or receiving a full refund.
      1Is the venue confirmed?
      The venue might change but it will be confirmed 10 days prior the course date and it will always be communicated to the attendee.
      2Do I take the SA exam during class?
      You must take your SA exam within 30 days of your SA course. We believe that students should be allowed to utilize the 30-day timeframe to study or review if they wish. Additionally, we understand that many learners will be more comfortable taking the exam in an environment of their own choosing. Therefore, we do not offer the exam in class, instead allowing each student to take it at his or her own convenience. Please note, although you have 30 days during which to take your exam, you must take the exam in its entirety during one sitting. You will not be able to stop and restart the exam.
      3Can I become a certified SAFe® 4 Agilist without taking a SA class?
      No. Successful completion of a SAFe® 4 Agilist course is required to take the SA exam. Passing the exam will result in becoming a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).
      4Do I have to pay extra for the exam?
      First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
      5How do I guarantee my seat in the class?
      Our classes often sell out. You must provide payment in order to guarantee your your seat in the class. If the class reaches capacity and we have not yet received your payment, you will be moved to a waitlist and notified if a seat becomes available.
      6Do you offer group discounts?
      Yes. Please email us at support@smartcoach.ro to let us know how many individuals are in your group so we can provide you with the appropriate discount.
      7I am unemployed / student. Can I get a discount?
      Yes. Please email us at support@smartcoach.ro to let us know more about your situation so we can work with you.
      8Do you offer other discounts?
      We offer quite a few discounts, including Group discounts, Early Bird specials and a Transition discount for those between jobs. Please email us at support@smartcoach.ro for more information.
      9Can I reschedule my attendance to a different class?
      We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we are happy to reschedule your course attendance to another course if necessary. However, rescheduling within 2 business days of your scheduled course will be subject to a $150 rescheduling fee. If you need to reschedule, please email us at support@smartcoach.ro.
      10Can I transfer my registration to a different person?
      Yes. Substitutions are accepted at any time prior to commencement of the class. There is no charge for this service. If you would like to transfer your registration to another person, please email us at support@smartcoach.ro.
      11Can I take the class again?
      Yes, you can. We reserves three complimentary seats at each of our public courses for students who have successfully completed a previous course from us, but would like to take it a second time to brush up on their learning. This offer is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and must be used for the same type of course as the original.       Ionut is a passionate Agile realist, organizational change advocate and corporate cultural renovator who brings a decade of experience in leading teams and organizations in Agile transformations. He translates his enthusiasm for and understanding of Lean-Agile values and principles to help organizations implement effective ways to manage work, transform theirs corporate cultures to survive in the 21st century, and engage people, with a focus on delivering genuine business value.
